Club members pride themselves
in mentoring new members and in sharing ideas in
an educational environment. All amateur photographers are encouraged to attend our meetings, guests and new members are welcome.
The club is hosted at the Wheaton Park District and members photograph a variety of subjects. Members are also invited to photograph park events for special club competitions and in submitting entries for potential park district publications.
Central DuPage Camera Club has a long history of serving the community. It has entered photos in competition with the other clubs in the Chicago Area Camera Clubs Association and has been member of the Photographic Society of America, for over 50 years.
At 7:30 P.M Club members normally attend an educational presentation on the 2nd Monday of the month, this may include travel photos, Adobe photoshop demonstrations or other photography discussions. And on the 4th Monday night, members can submit photos or digital image files for competition. Ribbons are awarded in slide projected images and color prints and black & white prints which are evaluated by a team of judges.
